Eligibility for Admission

A candidate who has passed the Plus two ( +2 ) examination of the public examination board under Government of Kerala Or any other equivalent examination passed and recognized by University of Calicut with not less than 45% of marks for general category and 40 % for SC and ST are eligible for admission to the courses offered by Nehru Academy of Law. 50% of the seats are allocated to the candidates those who are coming under the Government quota and the rest will be filled by the management.

  • Kerala Law Entrance Examination for Admission under the Government quota to 3 year LLB and 5 year BBA.LLB courses.
  • Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Three Year LLB Course in Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode and in Private Self-financing Law Colleges of Kerala which have entered into seat sharing agreement with the State Government.
Eligibility Criteria for 5 year Courses

Five-year integrated L.L.B eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria inform candidates about academic qualification, minimum marks and age limit that one has to meet to be considered for admission to five year L.L.B program. five year L.L.B courses eligibility criteria, read below.

  • The candidate should have passed HSC examination of Board of HSC education, Kerala or any equivalent qualifying exam scoring at least 45% aggregate marks. SEBC candidates and SC/ ST candidates, however, need only 42% and 40% respectively.
  • The candidate must be minimum of 17 years of age
  • There is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam.
  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

Academic Qualifications

Candidate seeking admission to the Course should be a Graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent there to He/she should have passed the Bachelor’s Degree Examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (i.e., 45% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together). However, candidates belonging to SC/ST category need only 40% marks in the qualifying examination Candidates who are appearing /have appeared for the qualifying exam (end of the regular exam of academic year) are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination

Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional / Degree Certificate and mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of admission

Qualifying Standards in the Entrance Exam

To qualify in the examination, a General / SEBC applicant should secure a minimum of 10% marks in the Entrance Examination whereas a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 5% marks Entrance Exam for all the three Courses

The Entrance Examination will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode on April /May. It will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions The Questions will cover General English, General Knowledge and Aptitude for Legal Studies

How and When to Apply

Candidates seeking admission to the Course can apply online on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The website will be open for online registration. While applying online, the candidate has to upload his/her recent passport size colour photograph with light background in jpg format, with size between 15 kb and 30kb and dimensions 150 (width) x 200 (height) in pixels

Application Fee for 3yr. LLB Course and 5 year Courses

The application fees for applying five year courses and 3 year courses are Rs.685/-(Rupees Six Hundred And Eighty Five only) for General/ SEBC and for SC/ST Candidates, the application fee is Rs.345/-(Rupees Three Hundred And Forty Five only) fee may change as per Government Regulations.

The required fee can be remitted at any branch of the State Bank of Travancore using the Bank Challan, which is available along with the print out of online application.

Last date and time for receipt of printout of application

Candidates should take printout of the online submitted application and affix a recent passport size photograph identical to the one uploaded, and get it attested by a Gazette Officer. This application along with the required documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001 in A4 size envelope, either by registered post / speed post / hand delivery.

The envelope of the application should be super scribed Application for Three Year LLB Entrance Examination

The candidates registered for the examination can download their Admit Cards from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in the admit card thus obtained should be brought to the examination hall

Allotment of Seats
  • Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will make the institution wise allotment in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the order of preference of institutions registered by the candidates during online Centralized Allotment Process (CAP)
  • The details of CAP will be notified on the website and in leading newspapers
  • Individual intimation in this regard will not be sent to candidates
  • The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the provisions laid down in the Prospectus for Admission to Three Year LL.B Course, Kerala available on the website.
