12, Sep, 2023 POLYGARDEN VISIT [12.09.2023]

As DR.Steven J Taylor quoted once “ The crux of the issue here goes beyond the language and terminology into the deeper issues of inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities in society”. Our students of final year 3 YR LLB has visited the polygarden at lakkadi koottupatha on 12-09-2023 at 10 am as a part of moulding their social responsibility within themselves. There were a group of 21 students and 2 faculty. The students spent time with the inmates with songs, dance and talks, there were around 30 inmates. The students distributed sweets to the inmates. Our students serve them the love and affection through their language of communication. Most of the students take initiative to feed foods to the inmates. At last the students handed over the collected sum of money to the person in charge of poly garden. The students realised the another phase of people who are awaiting to be accepted by the persons like them.
